Senior Predrag Damjanov scored in the final minute of the second overtime period Saturday as the No. 1 USC Trojans held on for a 7-6 overtime non-conference win against the No. 4 UCLA Bruins at McDonald's Swim Stadium. With the win, the Trojans gain 2.5 points in the Lexus Gauntlet standings as both teams have recorded a win in the season series.

UCLA jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the second period before goals by USC seniors Gadi Hadar and Brett Reynolds cut the lead to 4-3 at halftime. Neither team recorded a goal in the third period before Juraj Zatovic evened the match at 2:25 of the fourth period.
The Bruins were poised to win the match after Chris Pulido scored with 1:02 remaining. On a USC 6-on-5 situation, though, James Shin scored with 15 seconds left to send the match into overtime. Shin scored his second goal in the first overtime period before Brett Ormsby answered with his team-high third goal of the match.

The Bruins will compete next weekend at the MPSF Championship (Nov. 28-30) at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach. By virtue of a tiebreaker against USC and Stanford, UCLA will be the No. 3 seed at the MPSF Championship.
