Top-seeded Tobias Clemens, who won the Sherwood title last year, was a 6-2, 6-0 winner over San Diego State's Ryan Redondo. He will next face Bruin senior Erfan Djahangiri in the semifinals. Djahangiri registered a 6-1, 6-2 decision over San Diego State's Felix Hardt.
In the other half of the draw, Rodrigo Grilli defeated USC's Johan Berg, 6-3, 6-3.
