This past weekend at the NACAC (North American, Central American, Caribbean) Championships, several Bruin men shined, with sophomore Craig Everhart and senior All-American Juaune Armon earning gold medals. The meet is in its third year of existence and features athletes under the age of 23.
Armon captured gold in the long jump with a mark of 24-8.25, while Everhart earned gold as a member of the men's 4x400m relay team, winning in a time of 3:02.36. He also competed in the 400m, finishing fourth with a time of 46.02.
Junior Martell Mungia, competing for Mexico, finished fifth in the 800m with a time of 1:51.33. Mungia was the top qualifier after the preliminary rounds with a time of 1:50.32.
