In the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America poll (as of Jan. 16), UCLA (5-1, 2-1 Pac-10) is ranked No. 13 in the nation.
The Bruin swimmers will take a week off before returning to Pac-10 competition. UCLA will face Stanford on January 31st and Cal on February 1st.
UC SAN DIEGO
Coach Cyndi Gallagher's Bruins defeated the UC San Diego Tritons on Saturday, 139-94. UCLA has an overall undefeated record of 9-0 against the Tritons.
In Saturday's meet, the Bruins were triumphant in all 14 events. Junior Brooke Winkler led the Bruins as the only two-event winner (200 Breast, 200 IM) on the day.
At the annual Bruin Invitational, the UCLA divers had strong performances in the one-meter, three-meter and platform events. Senior Regan Gosnell placed second in both the three-meter and platform. And, freshman Paige Thompson placed second on one-meter.
Coach Cyndi Gallagher has had four Bruins swim qualifying times for the NCAA Championships (March 20-22). In addition to the automatic qualifiers, 11 individuals and two relay squads have provisionally qualified. Listed below are the Bruins' NCAA qualifiers.

NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT
During the fall signing period, three recruits signed National Letters of Intent to join the Bruins.
Jeana Fuccillo (Lebanon, IL/Althoff Catholic HS), Katie Nelson (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA/Peninsula HS) and Amy Thurman (Orinda, CA/Miramonte HS) will enter as true freshman in fall 2003.
The Bruins will return to Pac-10 competition January 31st, facing the Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto, CA, and facing the California Golden Bears February 1st in Berkeley, CA.
