The UCLA women's and men's track and field teams will split this weekend for competition as the distance runners head to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, CA, while the men's team, along with the women throwers, head to Tucson for the Jim Click Shootout.
The majority of the UCLA women's track and field team will not be in action this weekend as they prepare for the upcoming Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee meet (4-7--9), but nine distance runners and five throwers will head out to this weekend to compete.
Slated to compete at the Stanford Invitational are - freshman Alice Bohannon (800m, 4x400m), freshman Olga Aulet-Leon (1500m, 4x400m), sophomore Leslie Barrie (Steeple), freshman Alison Costello (5000m), freshman Monika Rothenburger (5000m), junior Sarah West (5000m), freshman Claire Rethmeier (5000m), senior Valerie Flores (10,000m), and sophomores Jenna Timinsky (4x400m) and Talita Wells (4x400m).
