Coming off its trip to the Bay Area, the No. 11-ranked UCLA women's tennis team (6-3) returns home this week to host No. 12 USC (6-1) on Friday at the Los Angeles Tennis Center beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Bruins won the last meeting between the two teams, posting a 4-2 victory at the NCAA Championships in 2004. UCLA had lost to USC twice during the regular season prior to that meeting. USC leads the all-time series 38-33. The winner will gain 2.5 points in the race for the Lexus Gauntlet Trophy, the all-sport competition between USC and UCLA.
