UCLA to Host Arizona Schools This Week . . .
Coming off its spring break trip to Hawaii, the 16th-ranked UCLA women's tennis team (10-2; 2-0 Pac-10) returns to the Los Angeles Tennis Center this week, hosting No. 13 Arizona State (10-4; 1-0 Pac-10) on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and No. 30 Arizona (10-6; 1-0 Pac-10) on Saturday at Noon. The Bruins swept both schools by 7-0 scores earlier in the year in Arizona, however those matches did not count in the conference standings. Bruins Down Division Hawaii Pacific . . .
UCLA was in Honolulu last week taking on Division-II Hawaii Pacific University. The Bruins posted a 7-0 decision over the Sea Warriors at Central Oahu Regional Park. After winning the doubles point, the Bruins won all six singles matches in straight sets.
UCLA in the Fila/ITA Rankings . . .
UCLA checks in at No. 16 in the latest team rankings released by the ITA on Tuesday. Individual rankings, which were last released on Mar. 21, saw Laura Gordon move into the top-20 for the first time in her career, as she checks in at No. 17. She is followed by No. 38 Tracy Lin, No. 90 Anna-Viktoria Lind, No. 96 Riza Zalameda, No. 99 Alex McGoodwin and No. 111 Ashley Joelson. Gordon and Riza Zalameda are ranked No. 34 in doubles. Team and individual rankings will be released again on Apr. 4.

UCLA and Stanford are the only two teams in the country with six singles players listed in the current Fila/ITA Rankings
USC Match Rescheduled for April 4th . . .
The non-conference UCLA/USC match that was postponed due to rain on Mar. 17 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Apr. 4 at 1:30 p.m. It will take place at the Marks Tennis Stadium on the campus of USC. It will be a big week for the Bruins, as they are scheduled to travel to the Bay Area just a few days later to face top-ranked Stanford and No. 10 Cal.
Head Coach Stella Sampras Webster . . .
Stella Sampras Webster is in her 10th season as the head coach of the UCLA women's tennis team. She owns a career record of 161-85 (.654). In her first nine seasons at UCLA, Sampras Webster guided the Bruins to eight top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships, including five top-5 showings (1997, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004). In 2004, she led UCLA to the NCAA Finals for the first time since 1991. It also marked the first time since 1991 that the Bruins surpassed the 20-win mark, finishing with a 21-8 overall record.
