The second-ranked UCLA women's golf team tied for the PING/ASU Invitational title with host Arizona State after 54 holes of stroke play Sunday at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, AZ.
In the final round, the Bruins posted a team score of 292 (+4) and the Sun Devils posted an even par round of 288. Both teams tied at 870 (+6), although ASU was awarded the team trophy based on its fifth player's score. Pepperdine finished third at 888, followed by Arizona at 891 and California at 894.
Individually, UCLA's highest finisher was freshman Amie Cochran, who placed second at 212 (-4). Her final round score of 70 was her third straight round under par. Junior Susie Mathews finished third at 213 (-3) after a round of 73 (+1) on Sunday. Senior Charlotte Mayorkas tied for 11th place at 221 (+5) after posting a second straight round of even par 72. Sophomore Hannah Jun tied for 34th at 226 (+10) and senior Melissa Martin tied for 79th at 239.
Arizona State's Louise Stahle won the individual crown.
