Box Score

LAS VEGAS - Third-ranked UCLA survived UNLV's upset bid by the slimmest of margins on Friday night, as the Bruins scored with just three seconds left in the game to escape with a 1-0 victory in front of a record UNLV home crowd in women's collegiate soccer action on Friday night from Peter Johann Field. On "Break the Attendance Record night", 1,664 fans watched the Rebels play the Bruins, shattering the previous record of 1,117, set against BYU on Oct. 14, 1999. UNLV fell to 6-5-1 on the year, while UCLA moved to 6-1-2. The game marked the first time the Rebels have ever played a top-five team, and UCLA was the highest ranked women's team to ever play at Peter Johann Field.

Though outshot 31-3 for the game, the Rebels played inspired defense around the goal, led by the outstanding play of sophomore goalie Jenna Huff, who finished with a season-high 12 saves. With just under 15 seconds left to play, UCLA threw the ball in from the right sideline, and advanced the ball into the box. Iris Mora passed off to Sarah-Gayle Swanson, whose shot from 10 yards out in front of the goal hit a Rebel player, and was deflected into the net past Huff's reach at the 89:57 mark, three seconds before the end of regulation.

UCLA returns to action on Tuesday, traveling to San Diego for a 7:00 p.m. match with USD.
