SEATTLE (AP) - Washington will look to keep its chances for a Rose Bowl berth alive when it plays host to UCLA on Saturday.

The seventh-ranked Huskies (8-1, 5-1 Pac-10) need victories over both the Bruins (6-3, 3-3) and Washington State, and also need Oregon State to defeat Oregon to force a three-way tie for the conference championship. At that point, the Huskies would get the bid due to the tiebreaker points system.

Washington is coming off an emotional 35-32 victory over Arizona. The game was the first for the team since senior safety Curtis Williams suffered a spinal cord injury in a 31-28 win over Stanford on Oct. 28.

Senior quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo, who was named one of the five finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner with 1:10 left. Tuiasosopo is the Huskies' second-leading rusher, but has the most carries on the team, averaging 12 per game.

The Huskies, however, face a tall order against the unranked Bruins, as UCLA has won the last three meetings, including a dramatic 23-20 overtime triumph last year at the Rose Bowl. The Bruins hold a 30-27-2 advantage in the all-time series.

UCLA comes into the contest having won consecutive games following a 37-35 victory over Stanford last weekend.

The Bruins, however, have won just once in their last eight games away from Pasadena, allowing an average of 35 points per game.

UCLA has seen a significant improvement offensively since the return of junior running back DeShaun Foster to the starting lineup. Foster, who suffered a broken bone in his right hand during the Bruins' victory against Arizona State on Sept. 30, has rushed for 237 yards in the past two games, including a season-high 159 last week against the Cardinal.

UCLA is 7-3 over the past two seasons with Foster in the starting lineup and 2-7 without him.
