LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- UCLA senior playmaker Adam Wright (Seal Beach, CA/ Wilson HS) has been named the Mikasa MPSF Player of the Week for November 21, 2000. Wright scored three goals and had two assists to lead the Bruins in their 6-5 win over USC this weekend. It was the final regular season game for both teams.
Wright leads the team in scoring with 39 goals. He also leads the team in assists with 28. This is the third year in a row that he has led the team in assists.
Wright is the third Bruin to be honored by the MPSF this year. Senior Sean Kern and sophomore Brandon Brooks earned the same honor earlier this season. UCLA is currently ranked No. 3 and holds an 18-3 overall record. The Bruins continue play this weekend at the MPSF Tournament, held at the USA Water Polo National Aquatic Center on the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos. They are the No. 2 seed and will face the University of the Pacific on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
