San Diego, Calif. - Senior women's tennis player Laura Gordon won a pair of matches Friday to advance to the quarterfinals in singles at the 2005 ITA Regionals in San Diego.
Gordon started the day with a victory over UC Irvine's Inna Agababian. She then posted a 7-5, 6-0 win over LMU's Robyn Baker in the round of 16. She will next face USC's Amanda Fink, who was a 6-2, 7-6(10) winner over UCLA's Tracy Lin.
Sophomore Elizabth Lumpkin fell in the third round Friday to USD's Emma Murphy, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
