The UCLA women's and men's track and field teams will split this weekend for competition as the distance runners head to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, CA, while the men's team, along with the women throwers, head to Tucson for the Jim Click Shootout.

Heading to the Stanford Invitational are - junior Martell Munguia (800m, 4x400m), senior Jon Rankin (1500m, 4x400m), senior Ben Aragon (1500m, 4x400m), junior Erik Emilsson (Steeple), freshman Austin Ramos (5000m), freshman Drew Shackleton (5000m), junior Nick De Felice (10,000) and freshman Mike Haddan (4x400m).

Aside from the distance runners competing at Stanford, the men's team will field a full squad in Tucson, highlighted by the first running of the 4x400m with standout sophomore Brandon Johnson running the anchor leg. Johnson and senior Jonathan Williams will highlight a strong hurdle competition, while senior Yoo Kim will open up his outdoor season in the pole vault and junior Craig Everhart opens up his outdoor season in the 400m. Highlighting the field events in Tucson will be freshman John Caulfield (SP, DT), freshman Greg Garza (DT), junior Jake Knight (SP, HT) and junior Jeremy Silverman (SP, DT). Garza threw a lifetime-best 185-4 in the discus last weekend at the CS Northridge Invitational (3/19) and Caulfield leads the shot putters with a lifetime-best throw of 61-2.75.
