Former Bruins Continue to Compete at Track and Field World Championships

Edmonton, Canada- At the IAAF World Track and Field Championships, former Bruins continue to shine. In the 100m, Ato Boldon, competing for Trinidad and Tobago, advanced to the finals with a time of 10.12. Boldon finished fourth (9.98) in the finals, behind defending world champion and Olympic gold-medalist Maurice Greene, Tim Montgomery and Bernard Williams.

In the men's discus, John Godina did not qualify for the finals with his throw of 187-7 (57.19m). And, in the women's shot put, former NCAA Champion Seilala Sua did not qualify for the finals with her throw of 54-6 (16.61m).
