Women's Crew Competes at the Head of the American

Los Angeles - The UCLA women's rowing team opens their fall schedule this weekend, competing at the Head of the American on Sat., Oct. 26, in Rancho Cordova, Calif.

Women's rowing enters their second season as a scholarship sport, returning eighteen rowers from last year's crew. The Bruins capped their inaugural season finishing seventh at the Pac-10 Championships with 31 points.

The Bruins, guided by second-year head coach Amy Fuller, made additions to their coaching staff in the off-season, hiring assistant coach Bill Zack to expand their coaching arsenal. Second-year assistant coach Guillermo Lemus also returns with the team, and volunteer assistant coach William Nguyen replaces Jaime Goodrich.
