The UCLA men's golf team finished third at the Oregon Duck Invitational, hosted at the Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City, OR.
The Bruins posted a 54-hole team score of 854, 10-under par, and finished four shots behind second place Washington State and five shots behind winner Oregon. Nevada placed fourth at 861 and Stanford was fifth at 863.
UCLA's team score and finish were season bests.
Freshman John Poucher finished third individually for UCLA, posting a three-round total of 210, six-under par. He finished four shots out of first place, claimed by Washington State's Jon Reehoorn, who fired a final round five-under par 67. Scott Gordon of UC Davis placed second at 208.
The Bruins' other freshman Breene Murphy finished 15th after firing a final round, three-under par 69 for a total of 215, one-under par. Sophomore Steve Conway tied for 19th place at 217 and sophomore John Merrick tied for 25th at 219. Senior Parker McLachlin tied for 41st after posting a 69 in the final round.
