Jackson, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., led Oregon State in the Beavers' 35-21 win at California. Jackson rushed 35 times for 227 yards (6.5) and two touchdowns of seven and 12 yards. He had a long run of 66 yards. Jackson added two receptions for 12 yards and one score, giving him three touchdowns and 239 total yards for the game. The Beavers rushed for 269 yards and posted 529 yards in total offense against the Bears. Jackson currently leads the Pac-10 and is second in the nation in rushing at 146.2 yards per game.
Ball, a senior from Dixon, Calif., spearheaded the UCLA defense in the Bruins' 46-16 win against No. 18 Washington. Ball was credited with six tackles, five solo, 4.5 tackles for loss (-19), including 3.5 quarterback sacks (-18). He also forced two fumbles, one of which was recovered in the end zone by a teammate for a touchdown. The UCLA defense limited Washington to 77 yards rushing, intercepted three passes and posted four quarterback sacks (-20), and shut out the Huskies in the second half of the game.
Killeen, a junior from Norco, Calif., had a solid game in USC's 37-17 win at Arizona State. Killeen was perfect on three field goal attempts from 45, 28 and 38 yards, made all four of his PAT attempts and had five touchbacks on eight kickoffs.
Others nominated for offensive player of the week honors were running backs Jonathan Smith of Washington State and LenDale White of USC and end Craig Bragg of UCLA. Also nominated on defense were backs Jason David of Washington State, Lamon Means of Arizona and Lawrence Turner of Oregon State and tackle Shaun Cody of USC. Punters Kyle Basler of Washington State and Chris Kluwe of UCLA were nominated for special teams play.
