Six members of the UCLA football program have been honored by The Sporting News by selection to one of its All-America teams.
Middle linebacker Robert Thomas, who led the Bruins with 111 tackles and 26 tackles for loss, was named a first-team All-American by the publication. Tailback DeShaun Foster, who rushed for 1,109 yards in eight games, was named to the second-team. Defensive end Kenyon Coleman, who led the Bruins with 8.5 quarterback sacks, was a third-team selection and free safety Marques Anderson, who ranked second on the team with 63 tackles, was named to the fourth team.
Cornerback Matt Ware, the first UCLA true freshman to start every game, was selected first-team Freshman All-American by The Sporting News. Redshirt freshman offensive guard Eyoseph Efseaff was named second-team Freshman All-American.
