Heintz Makes the Cut at U.S. Amateur

UCLA sophomore golfer Chris Heintz made the 36-hole cut Tuesday at the 104th U.S. Amateur Championship being hosted at historic Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY. Heintz fired an even par 70 on the East Course to finish in a tie for 42nd place at nine-over par 149. Former All-American Steve Conway and incoming freshman Brandon Christianson failed to make the cut. On Wednesday Heintz will meet Dayton Rose of Midwest City, OK, in the first round of match play at 10 a.m. EDT. All matches will commence on the 7,266-yard, par 70 West Course.
