The 16th ranked UCLA women's golf team is in third place after 36 holes at the Arizona State Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, AZ.
On Saturday, the Bruins posted a score of 304, 16-over par, and have a two-round total of 586, five shots behind first place California and one shot behind second place Texas. USC is fourth at 592, followed by Arizona at 594.
Individually, sophomore Charlotte Mayorkas posted a one-under par score of 71 and leads the field by three shots at seven-under par 137. Freshman Susie Mathews is tied for 10th place at three-over par 147. She recorded a 76 on Saturday. Junior Hana Kim is tied for 17th at five-over par 149 after posting a second round score of 77. Junior Gina Umeck is tied for 43rd at 153, nine-over par and Krystal Shearer is tied for 86th at 166. Junior Bridget Dwyer, playing as an individual, is tied for 64th at 157 after posting a 79.
Cal's Sarah Huarte fired her second consecutive round of 70 on Saturday and moved into second place individually at four-under par 140. Louise Friberg of Washington is tied for third at 143, one-under par.
Final round action continues Sunday.
