BERKELEY, Calif. - Sophomore midfielder Lauren Emblem was named to Soccer America's Team of the Week for the week of November 1-7.
Emblem was named to the Team of the Week after scoring the game-winner in UCLA's 3-0 win over Pac-10 foe then-No. 8 USC. With 14:45 on the clock, Emblem's shot from 10 yards out found the upper right corner of the net, giving UCLA a 1-0 lead they would not relinquish. With the win, UCLA single-handedly knocked the Trojans out of first place conference contention.
The goal was Emblem's fifth of the season and her second game-winner. She ranks fifth on the team with a career-high 10 points (5g, 0a). Emblem has started the last ten of UCLA's 11 contests.
