The women's track and field team had a successful showing in Idaho on Saturday as the Bruins posted three event wins at the Bronco Classic. Tori Anthony, Kylie Price and the 4x400m relay team all were victorious at the meet.
Anthony posted a season-best pole vault of 13-9.75 to win the event. That mark moves her into the top 10 in the NCAA this season. Also in the pole vault, Allison Koressel equaled her lifetime-best of 13-5.75 to finish third overall.
Price posted a win in the long jump as she had a mark of 19-10.75. She also led the way in the 200m, finishing third overall as the top Bruin finisher (24.81).
The 4x400m relay team of Brea Buchanan, Elle Sanders, Paisley Pettway and Danielle Low posted a win as they ran a season-best of 3:49.17. Buchanan was third overall in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.62.
In the 400m, Katie Reid finished second overall with a season-best run of 56.03. She was also seventh in the 200m (25.04). Hunter placed third in the 400m as she also ran a season-best (57.18).
Low led the way in the 800m as the top Bruin finisher. She was fourth overall with a time of 2:16.26. Sarah Toberty was seventh (2:18.25). Rachel Butler was the runner-up in the mile as she ran 5:03.67. Pettway was fourth (5:06.64), Sanders was sixth (5:10.87) and Toberty placed seventh (5:11.38).
Ida Storm was second in the weight throw with a mark off 64-8.75.
The Bruins will next split up for two competitions as athletes will travel to Seattle for the Husky Classic and Albuquerque for the New Mexico Team Challenge next weekend.
