The 11th ranked UCLA women's golf team captured second place at the PING/ASU Invitational Sunday at Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz.
The Bruins posted a team score of 289 (+1) in the final round for a 54-hole total of 873 (+9) to finish in second place, 22 shots behind host Arizona State, which finished at 851 (-13). Texas A&M placed third at 874 (+10), followed by fourth-place Vanderbilt at 875 (+11) and Pepperdine at 877 (+13).
Sophomore Ryann O'Toole posted a final round 72 (E) and tied for sixth place at 212 (-4). Teammate Tiffany Joh tied for 11th place at even par 216, following a final round 71 (-1). Senior Hannah Jun tied for 21st at 221 (+5) after carding a score of 73 (+1). Junior Maiya Tanaka also posted at 73 (+1) and tied for 44th place at 227 (+11). Freshman Sydnee Michaels tied for 55th place at 231 (+15).
ASU's Anna Nordquist won the tournament with a final round 69 (-3) to finish at 206 (-10).
