Rosario Leads Bruin Men At Ben Brown Invitational

Nelson Rosario opened up the outdoor season with a bang on Saturday as he won two events at the Ben Brown Invitational in Fullerton. Rosario won both the long (24-2.25) and high jump (6-8.75) and was the only event winner for the Bruins during the meet.

Spencer Knight finished fifth in the 5000m (14:51.54), while Jun Reichl was 12th (15:07.04).

Brennan Turner finished third in the pole vault with a mark of 16-00.75. Trent Perez and Eric White tied for fourth with matching clearances of 15-7.

In the 1500m, Alec Govi led the way with his eighth-place run of 3:57.43. David McDonald was 11th (3:59.62), Steven Norton was 14th (4:01.20/lifetime-best) and Zack Torres was 21st (4:02.17). Norton also finished third in the 800m (1:54.37).

In the 400m, David Klarer finished ninth with a time of 54.82.

The Bruins will next compete at the Northridge Invitational March 12-13.
