Track & Field Headed to Seattle for MPSF Indoor Championship

The men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Seattle, WA this Friday and Saturday (Feb. 24-25) to compete in the MPSF Indoor Championship. Last season, the men finished third as Greg Woepse won the pole vault title and the women finished seventh behind Ida Storm's weight throw win.

Several Bruins will be vying for MPSF titles including Maxwell Dyce (200m), Alec Faldermeyer (weight throw) and Mike Woepse (pole vault) as all rank first in their respective events. On the women's side, Ida Storm (weight throw) and Tori Anthony will also be battling for MPSF crowns. Woepse and Faldermeyer have achieved the NCAA auto standard in the respective events and will be competing at the NCAA Indoor Championships, held March 9-10 in Nampa, ID.

Multiple athletes also rank in the top 25 in the NCAA for their respective events. Below is a list of their place and top times.

  • Dustin Fay - 5000m, 17th (13:49.96)
  • Mike Woepse - Pole Vault, 4thT (18-00.50)
  • Alec Faldermeyer - Weight Throw, 7th (70-11.25)


  • Tori Anthony - Pole Vault, 13thT (13-10)
  • Allison Koressel - Pole Vault, 21stT (13-5.75)
  • Ida Storm - Weight Throw, 13thT (67-2.25)
