Ryan Hollingshead Earns NSCAA All-America Honors

Los Angeles, Calif. - Senior captain Ryan Hollingshead continued to earn national honors today, earning second-team NSCAA/Continental Tire Division I All-America honors. In addition, Hollingshead was named a second-team All-American by College Soccer News.

Hollingshead received national All-America acclaim after being named the 2012 Pac-12 Player of the Year. He started all 19 of UCLA's matches this season, led the team with 22 points (7 g, 8 a) and finished the season tied with Reed Williams for the team lead in goals. Hollingshead also captained the Bruins to a 13-3-3 record and finished second in the Pac-12 to teammate Evan Raynr with eight assists on the year.

In addition, Hollingshead was named to National Teams of the Week on four separate occasions and was selected to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Season yesterday. Off the field, Hollingshead was honored with the Pac-12 Men's Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year award and earned third-team Capital One Academic All-America honors. He also was named a first-team Pac-12 All-Academic selection and was a Senior CLASS Award finalist in 2012. Hollingshead was the only player from the Pac-12 Conference to garner NSCAA All-America acclaim.
