No. 17 UCLA Women's Rowing Races Against No. 2 Virginia

LAKE MONTICELLO, Va. - The No. 17 UCLA women's rowing program finished behind No. 2 Virginia in each of three races on Saturday afternoon at the Virginia Invitational. The Bruins raced well against the defending national champions in the second day of competition on Lake Monticello.

Virginia edged UCLA in each of the three races. The Cavaliers' varsity eight posted a time of 6:45.20, edging the Bruins' crew (6:47.60) by 2.4 seconds.

Virginia's second varsity eight clocked in at 6:53.40, crossing the finish line 10.4 seconds ahead of UCLA (7:03.80). The Cavaliers' varsity four defeated UCLA by 8.8 seconds, posting a time of 7:50.70.

UCLA returns to action against Clemson on Sunday, the third and final day of competition at the Virginia Invitational.
