Mike Woepse highlighted the men's track and field team on Saturday in Nampa, ID as he cleared the No. 5 mark in the NCAA this season in the pole vault at the Bronco Classic.
Woepse equaled his lifetime-best jump of 17-8.50 on Saturday to easily win the event as his nearest competitor was eight inches below him. He came into the meet ranked 12th in the NCAA with a mark of 17-6.50.
Also on Saturday, junior Dillon Stucky was the top collegiate finisher in the triple jump as he equaled his lifetime-best of 49-11. He finished second to 2011 graduate Jonathan Clark, who won with a mark of 52-8.25.
In the high jump, senior Taylor Hobson placed second as he cleared a season-best 6-8.25.
Sophomore Philip MacQuitty was eighth in the 800m (1:57.20) and seventh in the mile (4:15.79).
The 4x400m relay team of Frasier, Burd, Dyce and Rolle placed third with a season-best time of 3:16.84.
Up next, the men's team will split for two competitions as some athletes head to Seattle for the Husky Classic and others head to Albuquerque for the New Mexico Team Invitational.
