Did You Know?
The last time UCLA received a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament was in 2008. That season the Bruins won six straight matches to claim the program's first NCAA title (and second overall national championship). UCLA's tournament culminated with a 4-0 victory over Cal at Tulsa's Michael C. Case Tennis Center.

UCLA vs. the NCAA Regional Field
Of the three teams visiting UCLA this weekend, the Bruins have only played Arizona State. Both Army and St. Mary's have never faced UCLA in women's tennis. The Bruins and Sun Devils, however, have faced off more than 60 times, with UCLA owning a 50-16 advantage in the all-time series. In the only meeting between the two teams this year, the Bruins narrowly defeated the Sun Devils, 4-3 at the LATC back on April 10.

Bruins Selected for NCAA Individual Championships
Yasmin Schnack, Andrea Remynse and Noelle Hickey will all represent UCLA in the 64-player NCAA Singles Draw, running from May 26-31 in Athens, Ga. Schnack is the No. 6 seed in the draw. Remynse and Schnack will also compete together in the doubles draw, as they are the No. 4 seed. The individual portion of the NCAA Tournament takes place following the team competition, which runs from May 20-25.

On the Verge of 20
At 19-3 overall, UCLA is on the verge of the program's third 20-win season in the last four years. A win over Army on Friday would also give head coach Stella Sampras Webster her fourth 20-win season in 14 years of coaching at UCLA.

UCLA in the ITA Rankings
UCLA checked in at No. 7 in the final ITA Team Rankings of the regular season released on May 3. Individually, UCLA has three players ranked in singles led by Yasmin Schnack at No. 6. She is followed by No. 26 Andrea Remynse and No. 46 Noelle Hickey. In doubles, Remynse and Schnack check in at No. 4. New team and individual rankings will not be released again until the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament. Complete ITA Rankings can be accessed by clicking HERE.

UCLA Sweeps Titles at Pac-10 Championships
The UCLA women's tennis team enjoyed unprecedented success in Ojai this year, sweeping all four events at the season-ending Pac-10 Championships. Senior Yasmin Schnack, the No. 2 seed in the main singles draw, upset top-seeded Hilary Barte of Stanford, 6-4, 7-5 to claim this year's crown. Schnack then teamed with Andrea Remynse to win the main draw doubles title, beating Barte and Lindsay Burdette, 6-1, 6-0. In the Invitational singles draw, Bruin sophomore Nina Pantic defeated teammate Carling Seguso, 6-2, 6-0. Seguso didn't leave Ojai without a championship, however, as she and freshman Stephanie Hoffpauir claimed the Invitational doubles crown with an 8-6 victory over Washington's Aleksandra Malovic and Samantha Smith.

Johansson Dominates Duals
Junior Maya Johansson has been spectacular in dual-match play this year, taking a 17-1 record into this Friday's showdown with Army. Her lone dual-match loss of the season came in the team's 5-2 defeat at Stanford where she lost to Veronica Lee, 6-4, 6-1. Johansson's overall singles record this year stands at 20-7.
