Caitlin Dement Named UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior goalkeeper Caitlin Dement (Chino, Calif./Ayala HS) of the UCLA women's water polo team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Apr. 23-29.

Dement was named the MVP of the MPSF Tournament after totaling 33 saves in three matches and helping the Bruins capture their second conference tournament title in the last three seasons. Dement had 14 saves in a 9-5 win over San Diego State on Friday and tallied seven stops in UCLA's 4-3 semifinal win against USC on Saturday. She recorded 12 saves in the Bruins' 8-7 overtime win against Stanford in the Cardinal's home pool on Sunday afternoon. Dement ranks second among MPSF goalkeepers with a 5.22 goals against average.

This is Dement's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and second of her career.
