Swimming Begins Season This Saturday In Santa Barbara

Oct. 23, 2009

The UCLA swimming team will kick off the season on Saturday in Santa Barbara as they face the Gauchos and Oregon State at noon in dual meet action.

The divers will not compete because both UCSB and OSU do not have a diving program. Instead, they will continue to train for the next two weeks before they start their season at the Trojan Diving Invitational in early November.

Saturday's meet marks the first opportunity for UCLA's No. 3 recruiting class to show what they can do in the pool as the entire team will compete in Santa Barbara.

The Bruins have never lost to the Gauchos or Beavers as they are 7-0 all-time against OSU and 25-0 against UCSB.
