WOODLAND, Calif. - Junior attacker Griffin White has captured KAP7 MPSF Player of the Week acclaim for the week of Nov. 7-13, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced Monday. White scored seven goals in UCLA's two MPSF road victories last week.
White led UCLA with five goals in a 9-6 win at Pepperdine on Saturday afternoon. The junior from Mission Viejo, Calif., also added two goals in UCLA's 13-10 victory at Long Beach State last Sunday.
UCLA's second-leading scorer, White has recorded 34 goals this season and 11 goals through the team's last four matches. He has registered 15 goals in UCLA's six MPSF contests.
White captured MPSF Player of the Week honors the week of Sept. 19-25 earlier this season, the first time he had received the conference's weekly award.
UCLA and USC share the nation's No. 1 ranking and will face off this Friday evening in an MPSF contest. Game time at UCLA's Spieker Aquatics Center is 7 p.m. A live audio broadcast of that match will be available online (link here), free of charge at uclabruins.com.
