LOS ANGELES - Seniors Andrea Harrison and Dani Yudin and freshman Stephany LaRosa each had two hits, while Harrison, LaRosa and junior B.B. Bates all homered, as the 15th-ranked Bruins defeated Utah 9-1 in six innings on Sunday at Easton Stadium.

Harrison drove in four to give her three homers and eight RBI in the series, while LaRosa had a pair of RBI. Seven Bruins had a hit and UCLA was also the recipient of 10 walks.
Sophomore Jessica Hall recorded the win in the circle to improve to 16-7, striking out four in five innings and allowing one run, four hits and two walks. Freshman Ally Carda tossed one inning of relief, striking out one and giving up one hit.
The Bruins struck first with a pair of long balls in their initial at-bat. With one out, LaRosa belted her 15th home run of the season to left to make it 1-0. One out later, Bates crushed her 13th to left-center to make it 2-0.
UCLA rallied with two outs in the second for another run. Senior Katie Schroeder and LaRosa drew walks and Harrison followed with a single to right-center to plate Schroeder for run number three.
Utah, which left a pair on base in the second, got a run in the fourth. Katelyn Elliott led off with a single to left-center and was pinch-run for by Sandi Bowles, who moved to second one-out later on a wild pitch. After a Hall strikeout recorded out number two, Kate Dickman singled to left to bring in Bowles to make it 3-1. Marissa Mendenhall followed with a walk, but Hall retired Joni Cook on a pop up to first to leave the two Utes stranded.
The Bruins got the run back and two more in their half of the fourth. Sophomore Talee Snow walked to open the inning and was pinch-run for by freshman Sam Duran. One out later, LaRosa walked and Harrison smashed her 13th homer of the season to left to increase UCLA's lead to 6-1.
UCLA tacked on two more in the fifth. Snow led off with a single up the middle, and one out later, moved to second on a single to left by LaRosa. Harrison followed with a tapper to second, as LaRosa was forced and Snow took third. After a walk to Bates, senior Samantha Camuso drew a free pass to force in Snow to make it 7-1. Another walk, this time to Yudin, brought the Bruins' lead to 8-1.
The Bruins walked off with a mercy rule in the bottom of the sixth. With one out, Snow reached on a fielding error by Kelsi Hoopiiaina at short, moved to third on a double to left-center by Schroeder and scored on a sacrifice fly to center off the bat of LaRosa to finish off the 9-1 win.
