The UCLA-Washington Series
UCLA takes a 13-3-1 all-time record against Washington into this Friday's showdown. The Huskies, however, snapped a nine-match losing streak to the Bruins last season when they posted a 1-0 victory in Seattle. UCLA is 7-2-1 against Washington at home.

Freshmen Spark Comeback Win over LMU
With UCLA trailing 1-0 in the second half against LMU last Saturday, two Bruin freshmen took control and helped the team to an eventual 3-1 victory at LMU's Sullivan Field. Sam Mewis headed in a Chelsea Cline corner kick at the 66:50 mark to tie the game at 1-1. It would spark an offensive explosion for the Bruins, who would score two more goals before the game ended. Freshman Kylie McCarthy punched in her first goal of the year in the 76th minute, followed by another strike by Mewis, her third of the year, just over three minutes later. UCLA outshot LMU, 21-8 on the afternoon.

Bruins Round Out Non-Conference Action Undefeated
For just the second time in school history UCLA managed to finish the non-conference portion of its season undefeated, as the Bruins take a 7-0-1 record into this Friday's Pac-12 opener with Washington. The only other time that UCLA accomplished the feat was in 2008 when the Bruins were undefeated until falling to North Carolina in the NCAA College Cup.

UCLA Ranked No. 2 Nationally
For the second week in a row UCLA is ranked No. 2, behind Stanford, in the Soccer America National Rankings released on Monday. Leroux Moving Up Career Charts

UCLA also trailed LMU this past weekend before reeling off three unanswered goals to win 3-1. The only match that UCLA trailed and didn't come back to win was a 1-1 tie against Pepperdine.
