#2 UCLA vs. #13 WASHINGTON STATE
This is the 104th meeting between UCLA and Washington State with the Bruins leading the series 90-13, including winning the last five and 26 of the last 27 contests. The Bruins have also won the last 13 road games against WSU, including 11 in a row in Pullman, Wash. Last year, the Bruins demolished WSU on the road, winning 50-30 on Feb. 9, 2006. Jordan Farmar led the Bruins with 20 points while Arron Afflalo was the only other Bruin to reach double figures with 12 points. Aron Baynes was the only Cougar to score more than four points, leading WSU in scoring (10 points) and rebounding (eight boards). In this year's earlier meeting, won by UCLA 55-52 in Pauley Pavilion on Dec. 28, 2006, the Bruins were led by Afflalo and Darren Collison, who each scored 13 points. Josh Shipp added 11 points while Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had seven points and 10 rebounds for UCLA. Derrick Low scored a game-high 14 points for WSU while Nikola Koprivica was the only other Cougar to reach double-figure scoring with 12 points.
UCLA is currently ranked second in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls. Earlier this year, UCLA spent six weeks (Nov. 27-Jan. 1) ranked first in the AP poll and five weeks (Dec. 4-Jan. 1) atop the Coaches poll. UCLA has spent more time (134 weeks) at number one in the history of the AP poll than any other program.
HOWLAND REACHES MILESTONE VICTORY
UCLA Head Coach Ben Howland won his 250th game in the 70-65 home win over 19th-ranked USC on Feb. 7, 2007. Howland, now in his 13th season as a Division I head coach, is averaging 19.4 wins per season with still more games to play in 2006-07. Equally impressive is the fact that he won his 200th victory just last year on Nov. 19 in a 56-37 home win over Delaware State.
Has clinched at least a share of it's second-straight Pacific-10 title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Pac-10 Tournament.
Has completed the first true undefeated home season (16-0) since 1974-75 (32 seasons). The 1994-95 squad was 15-0 at home, but it included a forfeit win over California (after the Bruins originally lost the game 100-93).
Has made 198 three-point field goals, which is fourth on the season list while the 520 attempts are sixth and the .381 percentage is fifth.
UCLA averages 34.9 points and shoots .469 from the floor, .341 from three and .580 from the line in the first half of games. In the second half, it averages 39.1 points and is shooting .517 from the floor, .425 from three and .710 from the line.

Junior guard Arron Afflalo has led the team in scoring in eight of the last 11 games and in 11 of the last 17 contests.
