Senior Amanda Kamekona and junior Megan Langenfeld have accepted invitations to the 2009 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp, as announced by The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA).
Kamekona and Langenfeld are two of 10 players who will join the 27 athletes that were named in mid-April to the National Team Selection Camp. Included in the first list were former Bruins Andrea Duran and Natasha Watley.
The Selection Camp will take place in Chula Vista, Calif. from June 8-12. On the schedule for the USA Softball Women's National team program are several International events including the World Cup of Softball presented by KFC in Oklahoma City, Okla. July 16-20. The World Cup will feature the top four finishers from the 2008 Olympic Games including a Gold medal game rematch between Japan and the United States.
