Bruins Entertain Nebraska in First-Ever Home Match at Annenberg

In the first home match for the program, the UCLA sand volleyball team hosts fellow first-year squad Nebraska on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica.

The Bruins recorded their first-ever victory over Loyola Marymount last Saturday at USC, winning four of the five matches. Last Sunday, juniors Meg Norton and Kelly Reeves finished second in the USC bracket-style tournament.

Thursday's match will have the #4 and #5 doubles pairs playing at 1 p.m., followed by #3 and a possible #6 exhbition contest at 2 p.m. and the #1 and #2 doubles at 3 p.m.

Nebraska, which has been playing matches in Southern California since March 14, is 1-3 so far, with a win over Grand Canyon and losses to Florida State, Pepperdine and Long Beach State, and plays Irvine Valley College and Loyola Marymount on Wednesday before taking on the Bruins on Thursday.
