Sophomore Ryann Krais stands in third-place after day one of the Pac-10 Multi-Event Championships with a four-event score of 3160 points. Oregon's Briane Theisen leads with 3600 points, while ASU's Samantha Henderson is just 102 points ahead of Krais in second-place.
Krais started the day off with the fourth-fastest hurdles mark in the competition, running 14.06 for 970 points. She finished second in the high jump with a mark of 5-7 (855 points). In the shot put, she was ninth overall with a throw of 32-3 (518 points). Krais ended the day with a season-best run in the 200m (25.77), placing seventh overall (2577 points).
Krais concludes competition at the Pac-10 Championships on Sunday with the long jump, javelin and 800m.
