LOS ANGELES - Fall quarter classes have resumed in Westwood this week, just one month after the UCLA men's basketball team returned from a weeklong goodwill tour to China.
The men's basketball program played three games during a seven-day stay in both Beijing and Shanghai (Aug. 23-29), winning all three contests, highlighted by a 92-63 victory against the Shanghai Sharks on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
UCLA's trip featured excursions to historic locations such as the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace. While in Shanghai, the Bruins had the opportunity to spend an evening aboard a tour boat on the Huangpu River, which offers tremendous views of Shanghai's evening skyline.
The Bruins open the 2012-13 season in New Pauley Pavilion against Indiana State on Friday, Nov. 9. Tickets can be purchased online (link here) or by calling UCLA's Central Ticket Office at 310-UCLA-WIN (310-825-2946).
