The fifth-ranked UCLA men's golf team increased its lead to 10 strokes at the CordeValle Collegiate Tuesday in San Martin, CA.

The Bruins' second round score of 362 (+2) was not spectacular, but it was just one shot behind the best score of the day. As a result, the Bruins were able to increase their lead to 10 strokes over second place Stanford and USC, teams they will be paired with in the final round. The Bruins stand atop the leaderboard at 715 (-5) and are the only team under par through 36 holes. Stanford and USC are tied for second at 725 (+5), followed by Lamar at 726 (+6). Lamar posted the day's best score, 261 (+1). In fifth place was Augusta State at 728 (+8). Coastal Carolina, which began the day in second place, was sixth at 731 (+11). The Chanticleers ballooned to 377 (+17) on Tuesday. Northwestern and Texas A&M were tied for seventh at 14-over par 734, followed by ninth-place Arizona at 737 (+17). Santa Clara was 10th at 751 (+31) and Washington was 11th at 754 (+34).

UCLA junior James Lee remained in the lead after 36 holes, posting a second round score of 72 (E). Lee's two-round total of seven-under par 137 was two strokes ahead of Coastal Carolina's Sam Lyons, who carded a score of 71 (-1) on Tuesday. Lee birdied the par 4 11th hole to reach level par, then strung together seven straight pars to end his round.

UCLA senior Kevin Chappell posted a 71 (-1) and was tied for sixth at 143 (-1) entering the final round. Freshman Connor Driscoll posted his second straight round of even par 72 and was tied for ninth at 144 (E). Tied for 24th at 146 (+2) was a trio of Bruins: freshman Philip Francis, junior Lucas Lee and senior Craig Leslie. Leslie led this group with a three-under 69, jumping 16 spots on the leaderboard. Francis posted a 74 (+2) after making bogey at the 18th. Lucas Lee, tied for seventh at the start of the day, fell back after signing for a 76 (+4). Junior Erik Flores was 49th at 150 (+6), sophomore Jason Kang was tied for 54th at 153 (+9) and sophomore Ben Choe was tied for 63rd at 160 (+16).
