Freshman midfielder Jenna Richmond (Centreville, VA/Centreville HS) of the UCLA women's soccer team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 7-12.
Richmond scored both Bruin goals, including the game winner in overtime, to help the No. 13 UCLA women's soccer team to a 2-1 upset over No. 3 Notre Dame on Friday evening at Drake Stadium. After scoring in the 20th minute, Richmond netted her second goal of the match, the game winner, a little over four minutes into overtime on a re-directed cross into the box from fellow freshman Ariana Martinez. It marked UCLA's first-ever win over Notre Dame in three meetings.
This is Richmond's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
