Head Coach Carrie Forsyth and freshman Erynne Lee highlighted the National Golf Coaches Assn. Awards Banquet Friday night following the NCAA Championship held in Franklin, TN.

Forsyth was voted West Region Coach of the Year, and Lee earned Freshman of the Year-- a first in Forsyth's coaching tenure.

Forsyth, who guided the Bruins to a nation-leading seven tournament victories in 2011-12, has guided UCLA to two NCAA titles, seven regional championships and 47 tournament victories in 13 full seasons.

In addition, Lee's selection as a First-Team All-American gives the Bruins, under Forsyth's leadership, 16 different players who have earned 25 All-America certificates.

Also selected First-Team All-America for UCLA was fourth-year junior Lee Lopez, who won the Rainbow Wahine title in November. Junior Tiffany Lua, who will be playing in her second Curtis Cup in June, was named Second-Team All-American for the third time, and sophomore Ani Gulugian earned honorable mention honors for the second time.
