Figueiredo Ties for Ninth at World Amateur

UCLA sophomore Pedro Figueiredo helped lead Portugal to a top 15 finish at the World Amateur this week in Argentina.

Figueiredo tied for ninth place individually, posting rounds of 76-69-71--212 (+1) and helped lead his home country to a tie for 13th. The United States finished third.

In other news, senior Connor Driscoll placed fifth at the Mustang Invitational Tuesday, posting rounds of 76-76-74--226 (+10). Sophomore Bobby Lange tied for 42nd at 240 (+24) after carding rounds of 73-88-79. Freshman Anton Arboleda tied for 44th at 242 (+26) following rounds of 79-77-86.
