Freshman diver Emma Ivory-Ganja has been named the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year, the conference announced on Monday.

Ivory-Ganja placed third on both the 3-meter and platform at the Pac-12 Championships. A native of The Woodlands, Texas, she went on to finish fourth on the platform, seventh on 3-meter and ninth on 1-meter at the Zone E Championships. Ivory-Ganja was named Pac-12 Women's Diver of the Month for December after solid performances at the USA Diving Winter National Championships, which included a fifth-place finish in the synchronized platform.

Although the collegiate season has ended, Ivory-Ganja is still training hard as she prepares to compete at the U.S. Diving Olympic Trials, held in Federal Way, WA in June.

USC senior Victoria Ishimatsu was named Diver of the Year, while her coach Hongping Li earned Coach of the Year accolades. Cal's Teri McKeever was named Swimming Coach of the Year, while one of her swimmers, Caitlin Leverenz, earned Swimmer of the Year honors. Stanford freshman Maddy Schaefer was named Swimming Newcomer of the Year.
