WOODLAND, Calif. - The UCLA women's water polo team has earned six All-MPSF honorees, including first-team selection Tanya Gandy, as announced Monday afternoon by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Fellow seniors Anne Belden, Brittany Fullen and Katie Rulon have captured second-team All-MPSF accolades.

Additionally, KK Clark and Sarah Orozco have been named to the All-MPSF Freshman Team.

Gandy, a senior from San Diego, earned first-team All-MPSF honors for the first time in her career. An honorable mention selection as a junior in 2008, Gandy currently leads the Bruins (22-6) with 70 goals. She scored six goals in the final two MPSF Tournament games last week to move into a four-way second-place tie in UCLA's record book for most goals scored in one season (Kelly Rulon netted 70 goals each spring from 2005 through 2007).

Belden, a senior from Newport Beach, Calif., was named a second-team All-MPSF selection, capturing all-conference honors for the first time in her career. Belden, who earned second-team All-NCAA Tournament honors last fall, has scored 40 goals in 28 matches this season. One of four seniors on the 2009 squad, Belden has scored in 10 of the Bruins' last 11 matches.

Fullen, a senior goalkeeper from San Clemente, Calif., secured second-team All-MPSF accolades for the second consecutive season. In 24 matches, Fullen has collected 197 saves and posted a 6.29 goals against average. She has totaled 503 saves in 78 career matches, the third-highest career saves total in school history.

Rulon, a senior from Point Loma, Calif., received second-team All-MPSF honors after having been named an honorable mention all-conference selection in 2008. After having scored seven goals in three NCAA Tournament games last weekend, Rulon ranks second on the team with 57 goals this spring. Rulon's 198 career goal total is the third-highest in program history. The senior attacker has scored in 26 of UCLA's 28 matches this season.

Clark and Sarah Orozco have registered 28 goals and 17 goals, respectively, in their freshman campaigns. Clark, who hails from Menlo Park, Calif., has netted at least one goal in 19 matches, including a season-high three goals in three games. Orozoco, a resident of Commerce, Calif., has registered 17 goals, including a season-best three goals versus Brown on March 26.
