Lindsay Rowe continued her fast streak in the 60m hurdles as she tallied another lifetime-best performance at the Tyson Invite on Friday in Fayetteville, AR. Rowe was second in the final with a mark of 8.18, improving on her lifetime-best of 8.20 (set last weekend in New Mexico). That time is just .04 seconds shy of the NCAA auto standard and is a top 10 mark in the NCAA this season.
Rowe advanced to the final after placing third in the prelim round (8.27) and second in the semifinal (8.21).
Ashlea McLaughlin also had a huge day in the 800m as she ran a lifetime-best of 2:07.66 to finish fifth in the invite section. The senior, who is primarily a 400m runner, came into the meet with a previous career mark of 2:12.71 and a season-best time of 2:10.09. That mark is one of the top 20 800m times in the NCAA this season.
Allie Lopez posted nearly a five-second lifetime-best in the mile as she placed second in the open section with a time of 4:55.76.
Competition continues on Saturday in Fayetteville for the women's team. A few athletes will also be in action in Seattle at the Husky Classic.
