Three Bruins Scheduled to Compete in U.S. Women's Amateur

Three UCLA golfers will tee it up at the 107th U.S. Women's Amateur beginning Monday at Crooked Stick GC in Carmel, IN.

Junior Tiffany Joh, sophomore Sydnee Michaels and incoming freshman Maria Jose Uribe are scheduled to commence stroke play on Aug. 6. Joh and Uribe will start on the 10th tee Monday. Joh tees off at 7:41 a.m. and Uribe tees off at 2:04 p.m. Michaels will tee off on the first hole at 12:52 p.m. All times are CDT.

The U.S. Women's Amateur, one of the three original tournaments staged by the USGA, consists of 36 holes of stroke play followed by match play for the low 64 players.

Joh, the 2006 U.S. Women's Amateur Publinks champion, advanced to the second round of match play last season. Michaels advanced to the third round of match play last season. Uribe tied for 31st in stroke play and advanced to the second round in 2006.
