The No. 15 UCLA swim and dive team will play host to nationally ranked Arizona State and Arizona this weekend as they continue Pac-10 dual meet action. The Bruins will face off with Arizona State on Friday, while Arizona will come to town on Saturday.
Friday's meet will begin with diving action at 12:00 pm at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. The swimming portion of the meet will begin at 2:00 pm at Men's Gym Pool. On Saturday, the divers will compete at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center beginning at 11:00 am, while swimming action will begin at noon at the Men's Gym Pool. Admission is free.
The Bruins are currently riding a 3-0 (1-0 Pac-10) record and will look to continue their hot streak in the pool this weekend. UCLA has posted wins against the University of San Diego, Oregon State and UC Santa Barbara. Arizona State comes to Westwood with an 0-2 record with losses to SMU and Kansas. The Wildcats have had just one dual meet, a win over Wisconsin, but are the reigning Pac-10 and NCAA champions.
This weekend will be the first real test for a young Bruin squad, as well as the final dual meet competitions for the 2008 portion of their schedule. UCLA is 17-8-1 all-time against ASU and 12-14 all-time vs. Arizona.
