UCLA head coach John Savage
on earning the No. 2 national seed in the NCAA Tournament
"It's a lot of hard work and a lot of commitment from our players and our coaching staff. We have earned the position that we are in. It's going to be a very difficult Regional. At this stage, you don't take anything for granted. These are good programs, winning teams, teams that are coming in here very confident. Every year, it never changes. You have to be detailed in your preparation. I'm very proud of our program and our players to host for a third consecutive year. Winning the Pac-12, or being co-champions of the Pac-12, says a lot about our team. But this is a new season. Everybody is 0-0. There are 64 teams that have an opportunity to win a national championship and every single one of them can do it. We know that it's going to be a difficult challenge, but we are looking forward to the opportunity."

on being able to play at Jackie Robinson Stadium
"It just puts our guys in that environment from before. They know what to expect. Having a Regional here and Super Regional in 2010 and then losing a difficult Regional last year, we need to use those experiences in our favor and get the younger guys on board as quickly as possible. Regardless of what anybody says, the postseason has a different environment to it. Our job is to get those young guys acclimated and into that mindset as quickly as possible."

Beau Amaral (junior, center fielder)
on UCLA's selection to the NCAA Tournament
"Our team is really excited. It says a lot about this program and what we have accomplished. We have hosted three years in a row. That says a lot about our coaching staff, our players and everybody involved. We are really excited and are looking forward to this week. It's always fun playing in front of your home crowd. It's a really comfortable environment. To be able to host a Regional means a lot. We have worked hard all year. We definitely deserve what we have achieved so far."

Tyler Heineman (junior, catcher)
on UCLA's selection to the NCAA Tournament
"It's awesome. It's a testament to how we have played all season and how we prepared for our season. It's great to be able to start this new season in front of our home crowd. We want to keep this season going and get back to Omaha."

on having experience playing in the postseason at home
"It's a big deal. We always talk about home field advantage wherever we play. We talk about taking the stadium over, whether it's here or when we are on the road. We have been a good road team. But when we are at home, I know that we are comfortable. We know the ballpark better than any team that is going to come in here. It's a big advantage, and this will be a good opportunity for us."

Jeff Gelalich (junior, right fielder)
on UCLA's selection to the NCAA Tournament
"It's always exciting to see your name up there. We all cheer and get excited. Being selected to the tournament and earning a national seed, it kind of validates your season. It's what you have worked for from day one. It's a big thing to see your name go up on the board."

on having experience playing in the postseason at home
"You learn a lot from the past two years. You learn to be comfortable in your home environment. You learn that it's not going to be easy. We just have to take this one game at a time. In our clubhouse, our motto is that you have to go one pitch at a time. That's something that we have done all year, and we have to use that mindset here in the postseason."
