Tempe, AZ - In a Thursday morning game at Wells Fargo Arena, the Bruins had trouble finding their rhythm against a tough Arizona State defense and lost to the Sun Devils, 68-44.

ASU upped its lead to 13-2 before UCLA responded with eight straight points to trim the lead to 13-10. The Bruins held ASU scoreless over six minutes during that run, but the Sun Devils came right back with a 7-0 run to regain a double-digit lead at 20-10. ASU increased its lead to 21 in the second half with an 8-2 run to start the period, and the Bruins never got closer than 17 the rest of the way. The Bruins sent the Sun Devils to the free throw line 29 times, and ASU converted 24 foul shots.

Campbell led the Bruins with 13 points and a game-high six rebounds. Freshman Atonye Nyingifa added a career-high tying nine points on 3-4 shooting from the field. The Bruins had season-lows in points (44), rebounds (30) and FG% (36.6%).
